Classmates: We are making progress on the 20-year reunion. We have had responses from some of you, and we really appreciate hearing from you. For those of you receiving your first mailing, the reunion is scheduled for July 28th, 29th, and 30th, 2000.

Make sure you check out the Missing List on this web. We still do not have addresses for quite a few people, so your help in finding them is needed. Ask your friends if they have been contacted, as we may have accidentally (oops!) omitted a name.

Anyone wishing to donate please send donations to the address at the top of the page. Mailings alone cost $132 - $220 each. Donations are needed, as there was no money left in the account from the 10-year reunion.

QUESTIONAIRE: (and Web Site)

Enclosed is a questionnaire for the Memory Book. However, Katherine Lowry Spraggins and Russell Mills (if I am omitting anyone else I apologize) have created a great Web site that has this questionnaire on it. For those of you with access to the Internet, go to members.tripod.com/bshshawks1980 and go to the Memory Book questionnaire and fill it in. Then check out the rest of the site!

BABYSITTING:

We looked in to an option for babysitting, but it did not work out. If you have any suggestions, please let me know so we can provide childcare for those that need it.

 

SCHEDULE:

As you will notice on the enclosed schedule of events, we have left Saturday afternoon free. Quite a few people requested free time to take their families around and show them where they grew up. For those of you who do not wish to do this, Mary Anne and Rhea are organizing a float trip down the Madison. You can contact them on Friday Night for details. If you have any other suggestions, go to the site on the Web and bring it up for discussion, or contact Celeste or Shelly and we will advertise it for you in an upcoming newsletter

ROOMS:

Rooms are available at: The Bozeman Inn (managed by Mike Gaffke) 1-800-648-7515. $57-1 bed, $72-2 beds. The Lewis and Clark 1-406-586-3341. $78.95. The Holiday Inn 1-800-366-5101 $87. Other motels in the area include Sleep Inn and Comfort Inn, and the GranTree. Cutoff date for room reservations is July 1st (except for Holiday Inn is June 28th). Reserve as soon as possible.

 

AUCTION and RAFFLE:

At Friday night’s reception, we will be having both a silent auction and a live auction, and a 50/50 drawing. If anyone out there would like to donate ANYTHING to either auction, please let us know. It can be anything from a painting, or a craft you excel at, you name it (a guy I talked to donated a gallon jar of pickles, and this item brought the most money in.) If you are out shopping and see something neat at a bargain price, donate it. Anything will help.

We will also be raffling off plane tickets at the reception. This is how it works. The Travel Station has said that for every 40 tickets booked for Delta flights, we will earn one ticket. We will raffle off however many we earn. We have a special group rate contract with them, and if the ticket is issued 60 days prior we get a 10% discount, and if issued less than 60 days prior, a 5% discount. If you wish to do this, contact Deborah Gordon at (406) 587-8747, or email her at dgordon@thetravelstation.com. She will be happy to work with you.

These events are being held so that hopefully there will be money left in the account to start the next reunion.

OTHER NOTES:

Golf – The tourney will be Saturday morning. We are also requesting donations for golf prizes. If your company has personalized golf balls, tees, towels, cups, whatever, please consider requesting a donation for this.

Shirts – Polo shirts and Sweatshirts with the Hawk logo on them are available by pre-order for $18.00. If you need, make an extra copy of the price list, and pay for them separately at a later date, but they must be pre-ordered.
