I have spent several minutes trying to be as creative as Tristy, but to no avail so
here is the dry rundown. For me it has been 20 years since I have seen most of you -
nearly 15 since I have been back to Bozeman. Phillip and I own a software training
company. A hobby we share is coaching our kids in a creative problem solving program
called Odyssey of the Mind. Between work and kids life pretty much runs at full speed.
Still having trouble recoginzing the woman the kids call Maam as myself. 'Speciallyin
Texas. A skill I now have is a nice drawl when necessary, and the ability to say ya'll
with a straight face.

Wow can 10 years go by FAST! Lots has happened with us .... Randy and I had 2 children;
our son, Taylor age 8 and daughter Nicole age 5. I "retired" from my banking
career after 16 years and went to work managing a company for my step father. TowHaul
Corporation/Smith Equipment USA is an engineering and manufacturing firm located in
Belgrade, Montana. We design and manufacture VERY LARGE lowboy trailers that haul mining
equipment in open pit mines - and we market them around the world. Hey guys, if you like

After being a single Mom for 4 years, I Finally had a chance to fulfill some dreams so
I left Irvine, CA with my son and new husband and headed to Spokane, WA to attend Gonzaga
University School of Law. After three tough years I graduated and accepted a position in
Colorado Springs, CO to be closer to my siblings and their families who all live in
Denver. David, Joshua and I are still adjusting to a new community, new jobs and for
Joshua a new school, but we love being near family and are rapidly adjusting to our new
surroundings. I was lucky to find not only family in Colorado, but also old friends as
well.

Wow, I'm overwhelmed to be communicating with any of you after all these years. The
short of it is I had to attend 5 different Universities before I figured out I had no
interest in school. I had to wrap around dozens of guys before I realized I was gay. No. I
mean before I realized marriage has its settling effects. Now I'm fast approaching crystal
balls, chanting and black robes as I attempt to teach my kids how to use hand guns in case
the world bites it soon. Seriously, I'm at ease with my earthly ties and feeding off the
true zen of playing with children. I'm still in Montana (Hamilton is Bozeman 25 years ago
minus the groovey University). I'm grounded and waving my magic wand while my husband
"develops the land" ahhhhhhh, the fine balance we create for ourselves. Our
family is off to Jamaica in Feb. again. I can't seem to stop that reggae beat! Ya, MON
I have figured out we all create our own reality and I feel honored to be apart of

When last we met, I was headed to Arizona and grad school. While there, I got a
creative writing master's degree, a serious love of the southwest, and married to and
divorced from a woman who now refers cheerfully to me (and I to her) as "my best
ex." In 1994 I returned to Montana and MSU, where I taught Freshman Comp and soon
married one of my fellow teachers, Shelley (Miller) Ellis. In 1998 Shelley and I moved to
Eureka, CA, where she has a very good job at a community college, where I found that
academia's horror stories about how poorly adjunct faculty are treated at most
institutions are, indeed, true, and where I discovered that I really, really loathe
Northern California (the Mojave, now, that's different). When Shell and I ended our
marriage, I returned to Montana and soon enough to Bozeman. While I loved teaching, I
dislike the political powerlessness and poor pay that come with it at the master's level,
and so I've recently decided to give up and do what I constantly find myself doing anyway:
carpentry. Finish carpentry, mind you; high-end trim carpentry; art . . . until next week,
when I'm going to become a writer, or get a PhD in composition theory, or take the LSAT's
just for the hell of it, or. . . .

I was divorced from Sondra Wilt in 1985. Met Sherrie Baxter in 1985 and moved to the
Seattle area. In 1988, Sherrie and I were married. I was a volunteer firefighter from 1988
till I was hired by Pierce County Fire District 22 (Lake Tapps Fire Department), in 1991.

I was a member of the Bellevue Philharmonic Orchestra (second best to the Seattle
Symphony) for a while playing Second Violin. I have a degree in Horticulture and have

I was divorced from Bud Evans in 1992. So I moved to Washington state where my father
was living at the time. I later met a wonderful man, Jeff, and married him on May 14,
1994. Jeff is the publisher/editor of his own local sports newspaper. When we married, I
jumped aboard and have been working with him ever since. It is our "home
business". We are the only two employees so it keeps us busy. After thinking I would
never have children, Jeff and I were blessed with a very special, healthy little boy on
February 23, 1999, Cameron Alexander. I never thought I would love being a mom so much. I
am grateful I can work at home so I can raise my child. I truly feel blessed that I have a
wonderful husband and a beautiful child. Maybe we will be blessed with one more ( I hope).
(As of March 10, 2000, we found out we are having our last child.
This one is a girl and will show up the first part of November
2000.) I have been to cosmetology school, nursing school (didn't get to graduate due to the
divorce) and computer and accounting school. So my life is full with many
possibilities but
I choose to be home with my husband and raise my son. These are the most important things
to me. I am happy and fulfilled. What more could a person want. Oh, a little more money

Hmmmm...... I haven't strayed too far from home! I got my B.A. in Modern Languages from
MSU in '85, an M.Ed. in Adult & Higher Education/Counseling from MSU in '93, and an
M.L.S. from the University of Arizona through a distance ed program in '95 (i.e., did most
of it from Bozeman!). I spent a semester in southern France in '86; that was way cool!
I've worked at the MSU Library since August 1987; I've been a member of the library
faculty since Jan. 1996. In July 1997 I married a guy from just over the hill
(Livingston). We're both delighted to be in Bozeman, although he keeps trying to convince
me to get a sabbatical position in Nashville so he can check out the music scene --- a
jazz musician wanting to go to Nashville; go figure! We are both absolutely nuts about our
dogs; we get out hiking and skiing with them whenever we can. In 1986, I was lucky enough
to get one of the best sisters-in-law possible; Celeste Manseau married my brother, Bill,
and I couldn't love or admire her more. She is a fantastic partner for my brother, and a
fabulous mother to my nephew and nieces.

Lots of great things have happened in the past 10 years. Ifinally went to college and
got my undergrad degree in Biology. I was accepted into the Veterinary Medicine program at
Kansas State University, which is the most challenging and rewarding thing I've ever done.
My daughters & I moved to Manhattan in 1998 with our huge family of pets (4 cats, 3

Quite the broad topic. After high school, I attended college and law school at the
University of Colorado in Boulder (GO BUFFS!!). My undergraduate degrees were in political
science and history, so law school was the only viable option. After graduating law school
in 1987, I returned to Bozeman to open my practice. I am a sole practitioner, with a
general practice. I DO NOT do personal injury cases (no ambulance chasing jokes, thank
you), nor do I do dissolution or child custody actions. I do involve myself with
contracts, deeds, wills, and bankruptcy.
I married Lee Stadtlander in 1994, and inherited three teenagers. Jason is presently
working as a computer guru for an insurance company in Boston; Heidi is attending college
at Portland State, and Adam is in school at MSU. Lee is a professor in the psychology
department at MSU, having come to Bozeman from Ohio in 1992.

I received my BS in Engineering Science from MSU in March 1985, and my MS in Statistics
at MSU in 1987. I met my now husband in in the Fall of 1985 in a statistics class. I moved
to Encinitas, CA and worked for NDS for about 8 months, then I moved to Manhattan Beach,
CA and worked for DTI for 13 months. With pleas from my now husband, I moved to Seattle in
May 1989 to work at APL at UW. We got married in June 1992, had a daughter in March 1997,
and moved back to Bozeman in November 1997. I now work at MSU in the Information
Technology Department. As luck might have it I managed to get together with Beth Milne for
dinner last week while I was in San Francisco for a Conference. We love being back in
Montana.

I received both my BS and MS in Microbiology from MSU, married a wonderful man, had
three more children to make my grand total five, and moved from my beloved Montana to

Since the last reunion, I moved to Albuquerque, NM to receive job training with the
Navigators. While there, I met Lillian Cogswell, who became my wife on September 6, 1993.
In 1995, we had our first child, Caleb. In 1996, I moved back to Bozeman to work at
Montana State with the Navigators as a campus minister. We had our second child, Andrew,
in Bozeman in 1997. During the summer of 1998, I was asked by my employer to move to
Colorado Spring and become communications director for the national student ministries

Well, many things have happened, but where to start... We are in Lewistown, and have
been for nine years. My kids are doing great in school, and seem to be real well adjusted
to their lives. We live on a miniature farm with many, many animals. I have acquired a
strange sport activity since last we met. I play cowboy polo(on horseback riding like a
crazy person). If anyone remembers driving past Lee Hart's(Kim Hart's dad) place you would
have seen some of the action in their arena during the summer season. Now, you will have
to look hard, because I am one of the women out playing. I see Laura Dunbar Smith every
summer, since her husband Joe also plays. I have taught school now for the past 4 years at
the JH in Lewistown. I love my job and my principal. Tyler is in the same building with me
this year, and it is great. I am also the head volleyball coach for the JH program and
have coached volleyball forever. I think this is my ninth season this year. I play on two
leagues for recreation, and also play another fun sport called Walleyball. I could go on
forever...but I can say that life has been good to me. I have a great husband and family.

1985, B.S. in Math Ed. MSU-Bozeman, 1986 - Cook & Ski Bum, Big Sky, MT, 1987-1994
did a variety of Human Service jobs and additional coursework. 1989-1990, spent 18 months
traveling and teaching in Southeast Asia.
Continued ongoing interests in music throughout. Played in dance bands, folk dance
bands, coffeehouse and other settings. 1996 returned to college for formal training w/
classical guitar as major instrument.
Wishes
Hopefully we can accommodate many tastes and interests. Ours was such a large class, it
would seem that we should be able to get several diversified events going simultaneously.
I also think that when we graduated, we all knew that this re-union would take place in
the year 2000. I would like to get people's reflections on the differences between what
they thought the world would be and what it is in 2000.
